Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out one pie crust into a pie dish.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil.
  4. Sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  6. Stir in the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks until browned (about 8 minutes).
  7. Mix in the diced potatoes along with poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  8. Cover and let simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes until potatoes are fork-tender.
  9. Pour the savory filling evenly into the prepared pie crust.
  10. Lay the second pie crust on top and crimp the edges to seal.
  11. Cut slits in the top crust for steam to escape.
  12. Bake in preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
  13. Allow cooling slightly before slicing.
  14. Enjoy warm with your favorite condiments or plain.
