Description

Experience the delightful fusion of tender marinated beef and fluffy rice, creating a savory and satisfying dish that transports you to the heart of Korean cuisine.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup short-grain rice
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Add sliced beef and mix well. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight for enhanced flavor.
  2. Rinse short-grain rice to remove excess starch. Cook according to package instructions until fluffy.
  3. Heat a splash of vegetable or sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef in batches to avoid overcrowding. Sauté until browned but tender, about three minutes per batch.
  4. Return all cooked beef to the skillet and pour any leftover marinade over it. Stir until heated through.
  5. Place generous portions of rice on plates and top with bulgogi beef. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
  6. Dig in with chopsticks or a fork and relish this flavorful dish!
