- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (milk chocolate preferred)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and mix well until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Scoop dollops of dough onto prepared baking sheets and create an indention in each scoop with your thumb.
- Fill each indention generously with caramel sauce.
- Melt chocolate chips in the microwave or over a double boiler until smooth.
- Drizzle melted chocolate over each cookie.
- Bake cookies for about 12–15 minutes or until golden around the edges. Allow to cool before serving.
