  • 34 tbsp ice water
  • 3 cups fresh apples, peeled and sliced (mix of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and granulated sugar.
  2. 2. Add cold cubed unsalted butter and blend using your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. 3. Gradually drizzle in ice water while mixing until the dough holds together.
  4. 4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  5. 5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. 6. In a medium bowl, toss fresh apple slices with granulated sugar and cinnamon until well-coated.
  7. 7. On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough into a rough circle about 12 inches in diameter.
