Description

Protein Coffee Waffles are a deliciously energizing breakfast option, combining rich coffee flavor with a fluffy texture for a nutritious start to your day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 scoop (30g) protein powder (chocolate or vanilla)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee (strong)
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle maker according to its instructions.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the whole wheat flour, protein powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs until frothy. Add the milk, brewed coffee, and honey (or maple syrup). Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just combined—do not overmix.
  5. Lightly grease the waffle maker if necessary. Pour about half a cup of batter onto the hot griddle and close the lid. Cook according to your waffle maker’s instructions until golden brown.
  6. Carefully remove the waffles using tongs or a fork. Stack them on plates and serve with fresh fruit, whipped cream, or extra syrup if desired.
