Description

Garlic Butter Quinoa is a delightful dish that combines fluffy quinoa with rich garlic butter, creating a comforting side or light meal that everyone will adore.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup quinoa (white or tri-color)
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Rinse the quinoa under cold water in a fine-mesh strainer to remove bitterness.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the rinsed quinoa with vegetable broth. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover.
  3. Simmer for about 15 minutes until all liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it rest with the lid on for 5 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, melt unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Fluff the cooked quinoa with a fork and add it to the skillet with sautéed garlic, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Stir gently to coat the quinoa evenly in butter.
  6. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the Garlic Butter Quinoa before serving.
