Description

Delight your guests with this elegant Asparagus Puff Pastry Tart, featuring flaky pastry, tender asparagus, and a zesty horseradish cream. A perfect showstopper for any gathering!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14 oz) puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp prepared horseradish
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface to fit the baking sheet. Transfer it onto the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Score a border around the edges of the pastry without cutting all the way through.
  4. Arrange trimmed asparagus spears neatly on top of the puff pastry within the scored border.
  5. Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg to achieve a golden finish.
  6. In a bowl, mix together sour cream, prepared horseradish, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Serve warm topped with dollops of horseradish cream.
