Description

Experience the vibrant flavors of a 7 Layer Salad, where fresh ingredients and creamy layers create an unforgettable dish perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups romaine or iceberg lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup cucumber, diced (peeled if preferred)
  • 1 cup frozen sweet peas, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked turkey bacon bits (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (or light mayo)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Place it at the bottom of your serving dish.
  2. Dice the tomatoes and cucumber. Layer them over the lettuce for a colorful display.
  3. Sprinkle thawed sweet peas evenly on top of the vegetables.
  4. Add shredded cheddar cheese over the peas for added flavor and texture.
  5. If using, sprinkle cooked turkey bacon bits over the cheese layer.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix sour cream and mayonnaise with salt and pepper to taste. Spread this dressing evenly over all layers like frosting on a cake.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate for about an hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
