Description

Overnight Cinnamon Roll French Toast Casserole is a delightful breakfast that combines gooey cinnamon rolls with creamy custard, perfect for lazy mornings or festive brunches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (adjust as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Open the can of cinnamon rolls and cut each roll into quarters. Place them evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  4. Gently pour the egg mixture over the cinnamon rolls, ensuring all pieces are soaked.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
  7. While baking, mix powdered sugar with enough milk to achieve a drizzleable glaze.
  8. Drizzle over warm casserole before serving.
