Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
- 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak, sliced thinly against the grain
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot. Add pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tbsp of butter. Add sliced steak and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Pour in heavy cream and add red pepper flakes. Stir and allow to simmer until slightly thickened. If too thick, use reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency.
- Return cooked pasta and seared steak to the skillet. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and toss gently to coat everything in the sauce.
- Plate your creamy creation and garnish with additional cheese or fresh herbs if desired.
