  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Crushed gingerbread cookies (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush gingerbread cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a sealed plastic bag and rolling with a pin.
  2. In a bowl, mix cookie crumbs with melted butter until well combined.
  3. Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan to form an even crust.
  4. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Add sour cream, powdered sugar, fresh orange juice, and orange zest. Mix until fully combined and creamy.
  6. Pour filling over the prepared crust and smooth out the top with a spatula.
  7. Cover the springform pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight to set properly.
  8. Once set, carefully remove the sides of the springform pan.
  9. Top generously with whipped cream and sprinkle crushed gingerbread cookies on top if desired.
