Description

Warm up your holiday gatherings with this fragrant Instant Pot Christmas Spiced Apple Cider, featuring a delightful blend of fresh apples and aromatic spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 fresh apples (mix of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 1 tsp allspice berries
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 6 cups filtered water

Instructions

  1. Wash the apples thoroughly and slice them into quarters without peeling.
  2. Place the apple quarters in your Instant Pot. Add the cinnamon sticks, cloves, allspice berries, and brown sugar.
  3. Pour in enough water to cover the apples and spices, about six cups.
  4. Close the lid securely and set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 20 minutes.
  5. Once cooking is complete, carefully perform a quick release of pressure. Open the lid cautiously to enjoy the aroma.
  6. Use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to strain out solids into a pitcher. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Serve warm or chilled over ice, optionally garnished with cinnamon sticks or apple slices.
