- 1 ½ lbs ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup ketchup (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with nonstick spray or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Transfer the mixture into your prepared loaf pan and shape it into a neat loaf.
- In a small bowl, mix together ketchup and brown sugar until well blended. Spread this mixture generously over the top of your meatloaf.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for about one hour or until the internal temperature reaches at least 160°F (70°C).
- Let your meatloaf rest for about ten minutes before slicing. Serve warm with mashed potatoes or green beans.
