Savor a quick and delicious stir fry of tender beef and crisp broccoli, perfect for busy weeknights!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
- 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- Prepare Your Ingredients: Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain. Chop broccoli into bite-sized florets. Mince garlic and grate ginger.
- Make Your Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, garlic, ginger, and water. Set aside.
- Heat Things Up: Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil. Add sliced beef in a single layer (avoid overcrowding) and sear for about 2-3 minutes until browned.
- Stir-Fry the Broccoli: Remove beef from pan and set aside. In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and toss in broccoli. Stir-fry for about three minutes until bright green but still crunchy.
- Combine It All: Return beef to the skillet along with the prepared sauce. Cook everything together for another couple of minutes until heated through and the sauce has thickened.
- Serve: Transfer to plates and enjoy hot over steamed rice or noodles!
